Omg, I was shocked during Christmas time, one of my Airbnb guest trashed my house. I could not believe it. I will tell you what happen, what to do and how to solve the damaged property issues.
On December 26 when the guest check it out, I’m going to my house and check I could not believe what I see.
My perfect living now becomes like this, my dining room and another living become like this.
On top of that, they draw the heart to shape my window screener and broke the window I could not close my window. They broke another screen door in the kitchen so the door doesn’t close.
My washer did not work properly. And they put trash every in the house. Look at my trash bin it is like a mountain. They put a stain on the wall and they broke my grass water sprinkler.
And I have 5 hours to clean until the next guest come at 4:00 pm. I need to clean the house by my house so sad
What I do is take every single picture that I show you, send it to airbnb guest hey this is not cool here what you have done to my house. Then you send all the pictures to them why because you need to show the proof and Airbnb proof.
Airbnb tracks your conversation on the app so it is easy for them to investigate when they look back to the case.
First, I was angry but no point to argue with the guest because they will have to reimburse the damage fees later on.
What do I do next? I go to airbnb.com/resolutions. You can request this resolution within 14 days after the guest checks out.
You need to upload the picture of the damage, the invoice estimates how much it cost to replace each item.
My washer did not work, I have to book an appointment for a technician to come and write a report then I have uploaded the report for both the guest and Airbnb to see.
Here you can see the item I claim with the guest. When I finish everything I send it to the guest and I have to wait 3 days so they can get back to me.
After 3 days of silence cricket, of course, the guest not going to respond me. So I request Airbnb aircover with Airbnb so now Airbnb needs to step in to solve the case for me.

Every item they steal from me I have to upload the receipt to proof that I own the item. After that, I have to upload the invoice + my check to show I paid for replacements like my window, my door, deep carpet cleaning and more.
After 3 weeks, I receive this email and Airbnb reimburse everything for me. So I want to say even your house is trash but Airbnb got you cover. So you don’t need to be a worry. Airbnb is a great company to work with. They are always on the phone with you whatever you need they will be there.
