If you’ve been trying to find paid focus groups to participate in so you can make a little extra cash on the side, chances are, you’ve come across this platform I’m about to share with you.

In today’s article, we going to talk about apex focus group review by the end of this video, you will know how does it work? How much do they pay you? And important of all is it really worth your time or not we about to find out so sit back relax and drink some coffee.

What Is Apex Focus Group?

Apex Focus Group is a company that helps you to find paid focus groups near you. It gathers focus topics from around the internet and works directly with market research firms to bring you paid focus group opportunities.

The company also provides people with information on available clinical trials and survey panels in which they can also be paid for participating.

What Type Of Work You Can Get With Apex?

#1 Paid Focus Group

The main draw with the company is that it offers paid focus groups. It claims to have more than 1,000 legitimate focus group opportunities. It was looking for participants on the following topics:

  • Child Related (People who have children who are 18 years old or younger.)
  • Cell Phones (So things like Apple, Android, or Windows. Or Prepaid or Contract)
  • Entertainment (TV shows, movies, and video games)
  • Food (Whether you enjoy upscale dining, casual dining, or fast food.)
  • Sports (Casual viewers and die-hard fans)
  • Electronics (Give your opinion on which devices you prefer and why)
  • Pets (Animal lovers are needed. This includes those who love cats, dogs, or other pets)

As a focus group participant, your opinion can help to develop new products and provide companies with valuable insight into consumer behavior. Sometimes, you may even get to sample and test new products before the general public.

#2 Clinical Trials

Apex also states that they can help people get access to experimental treatment in the form of paid clinical trials from a wide range of market research groups.

If you sign up with Apex, they claim that they can connect you with clinical research studies that offer treatments under development.

#3 Paid Surveys

Like a lot of the other focus group companies I’ve researched, Apex also claims that they can provide opportunities for you to participate in paid surveys from a market research company.

And, they also claim to have access to paid surveys where they allow participants to try out new consumer products (like video games) before they are released in stores, which is pretty cool. Who doesn’t like free stuff?

How Much Money Can You Make?

You get paid anywhere from $35 to $50 per 1-hour session. And $250 to $500 for multi-session studies.

I had a browse of available focus group opportunities to see what payments were available. Here are a few examples:

  • $125 for a study on business travel.
  • $250 for a study on pet products.
  • $400 for a study on health and wellness product.

How Do You Get Paid?

Many focus groups pay in cash. But, I did see a few on this platform that paid with Prepaid Visa cards. Others may pay you by PayPal or even a gift card.

You can check with the particular study you plan to apply for to get more details on how you will be paid.

How To Sign Up?

Let me show you:

Click on join a focus group

Scroll all the way down and click on apply now

Fill out your profile

Honestly, as long as you’re 18+ years old and have a working desktop/smartphone with webcam capabilities, then you can join.

No experience is necessary nor do you have to pay a fee to join.  Plus, there’s no commitment, so you can join and do nothing if you so choose.  It’s up to you as to which jobs you want to accept as they come your way.

Now let’s talk about Pros and Cons

Pros:

#1 They pay really well

If you are screened and accepted into an in-person focus group, you can expect to get paid between $35 and $500 for your time depending on the subject, company, and duration of the focus group.

This money will be paid to you in person at the end of the focus group, so you can be sure that you are going to get paid.

#2 Flexible schedule

They offered to you an option that you can choose to only participate in focus group that fit your schedule.

This makes it easy to add some bonus income even if you don’t have a lot of time.

#3 Your information is encrypted

When sharing information online, there’s always the concern that your information won’t be kept securely. Thankfully, any information you provide is SSL encrypted.

Cons:

#1 No Focus Group Received

If you do not live in the area where the company has offices, or your profile does not match the needs of the focus groups, you will never receive an invitation for this potentially lucrative study. And that is one of the biggest complaints that people have about this website!

As you can imagine, not living near the Focus Group company’s office means that you are not going to be able to physically attend any in-person focus groups which are extremely important to the company.

#2 You might not qualify for many groups or studies

A few people said they had to apply for 8 studies before they got approved for one. It’s hard to qualify for study group because you don’t meet their criteria.

Please keep in mind. It’s not as simple as just signing up for AFG and then participating in surveys.

#3 Poor customer support

The customer support team isn’t that great, so if you are having issues using Apex, getting help could be hard.

There is no phone number to contact the company. But they do have a contact form and physical address.

#4 Many of the email notifications about new focus group opportunities is not always valid.

#5 Apex Focus Group doesn’t appear to have any social media accounts, including a Facebook page.

Now you might be wonder it is legit company? Or scam?

I already do-little research for you. Let see what people said.

If Apex doesn’t sound like your cup of tea, why not give one of these other focus groups a try? You can check the video right here.
