My Axie Infinity breeds were a success and I have 1 egg hatched to reveal today! I also talk about my plans for a breeding farm using ABCD method and talk about the costs and profitability.
Let me start by saying that this process has been really exciting so far and I’ve been eagerly awaiting the opportunity to start hatching Axies! Over the course of a few hours last night, my first egg finished their 5 day time. I was wondering…
Are they going to be good fighters? Are they going to be cute? What if they’re ugly? As a proud new Axie parent, I suppose it’s my job to love them no matter what.
What Do You Do With An Axie Egg After The Timer’s Done?
Despite what you’d think, the Axie eggs don’t automatically turn into Adults and they don’t visibly turn into Larvae. But, as far as I can tell, this is still a much better process than before. Apparently, before Axie Infinity switched to Ronin, these kinds of transformations (transforming from egg to larvae and larvae to adult) used to cost ETH gas fees. Which insane now better with the Ronnin network because it is FREE.
How to Hatch Axies & Morph Eggs into Adult Axies?
- Click Morph to Adult
- All you have to do after the 5 day timer is done is click the ‘Morph to Adult’ button, which is in the same menu as Sell and Gift above your Axie’s Current State.
- Make Sure You’re Logged in to Ronin
- 5.Clicking Morph to Adult should immediately pull up your Ronin wallet and ask you to confirm the ‘transaction,’ since your baby NFT is finally all grown up and needs to be recognized by Ronin for the big, bad Axie it is.
- Confirm the Transaction
- Then all you have to do is wait!
ABCD Breeding Method – Using 4 Axies
- This method breeds A and B at least 2 times to form AB1, AB2, AB3, AB4
- C and D breed at least 2 times to form CD1, CD2, CD3, CD4
- AB1 and CD1 breed at least 2 times to form E1, E2, E3, E4
- AB2 and CD2 breed at least 2 times to form F1, F2, F3, F4
- AB3 and CD3 breed at least 2 times to form G1, G2, G3, G4
- AB4 and CD4 breed at least 2 times to form H1, H2, H3, H4
Rinse and Repeat
It’s important to note that depending on your Axie morphs and the children of your original breed you may have to sell Axie due to the wrong genes. If you’re breeding for specific parts/cards or purity, make sure to keep genes in mind when selecting your parents and breed pairs.
