What is Lionbridge?
Lionbridge is a company that gives you the opportunity to earn money from home by joining what they call “The Smart Crowd” which is basically a group of people that have registered through their website who they send small jobs.
You can perform different small tasks such as testing, data entry, and data research.
Each task is a piece to a puzzle, and with hundreds (even thousands) of people from all over, crowdsourcing, and adding their own piece… Lionbridge can assemble them into a complete picture and use it to help their clients.
How does it work?
The sign up process as you can expect to give them your name, email address and wait for the confirmation email.
Once you confirm your email and get logged in, you’ll see a terms of service statement which you must agree to before you’re asked to share some details about yourself like right here.
Before you can receive assignments, Lionbridge needs to know what you’re good. To demonstrate your “talent” you are required to complete placement evaluations, which begin with reading comprehension.
Apparently, you can only take each evaluation once… so don’t rush through it assuming you have multiple attempts.

Lionbridge exams are different for Internet Assessor, Social Media Evaluator, Online Map Analyst, and Ads Evaluator. I will give you a little bit detail about internet assessor exam:
They will provide you a guideline so you must read cover to cover. You cannot be memorized but understand the logic of rating. Basic Lionbridge exam consists of 3 parts and you have a total of 1-week duration to study guideline and complete 3 parts.
Part 1: Theoretical
The test is about basic concepts such as website, webpage, rate labels, etc. It has 128 True/False statement questions under 32 main questions. I recommend being careful with arguments with “all”,”never”,”always”,”none”. Answer to every question is strictly given in the related part of the guideline, there are no tricks.
Part 2: Page Quality
This is about the quality of the websites themselves. You will be given 7 different page URLs separately to evaluate.
Pages are rated on 4 factors: main content, reputation, self-information, expertise, authoritativeness.
Part 3: Needs Met
This part is about rating web results based on a web search. You will be given 6 queries and corresponding results to be evaluated.
If you are a success and pass all the part, they will send you an email look like this.
What if you fail the exam?
If you get a failure mail from Lionbridge, it is okay and not a big deal. Lionbridge lets you retake the exam by giving them a second chance.
While the exam format and process will be the same as the former Lionbridge exam, questions will be different from the first one. Therefore, studying guidelines and learning the concepts and job very well is essential and a must.
