Now let talk a little bit about the Qualification Board

Getting qualified for jobs is important. Having more qualifications means you’ll have more jobs available to you and higher earning potential.

qualification board

So they have the board like this, Those in green colors are the qualifications you were able to receive while those in light grey are the ones you need to work for.

There are different types of qualifications such as the following:

  • Qualifications that require you to learn a new style of transcribing
  • Qualifications that ask for background check
  • Qualifications that are for invitation only

They also have a rating system. As you can see right here Based upon the lasts 10 tasks you completed is your final rating.

Rating system

The higher your ratings are, the more jobs you can do. And jobs that demand high-rating transcribers pay more.

I want you to aware of this that if your rate drops to 93 you are no longer get work from the company. To avoid this, you need to focus on your typing speed, accuracy, and make fewer mistakes while you perform the tasks. Quality is key.

How much money can you make?

Speechpad work-at-home jobs pay per audio minute. Your pay is determined by the number of audio minutes you’ve transcribed, not the number of minutes you’ve worked.

According to Speechpad, they pay their transcriptionists/transcribers anywhere from $0.25 to $1 per audio minute. As an entry-level transcriptionist, your payment will be around $0.25.

Your pay rate will then increase as you gain more experience and get better at your job.

For captioning, Speechpad currently pays around $0.30 to $1 per audio minute.

Reviewers or proofreader earn between $0.20 to $1 per audio minute and for Translator pay between $2 to $5 with the most experienced freelancers getting paid more.

How do you get paid?

The only payment option is Paypal. You’ll immediately get credited for your work once your transcription is approved/accepted and you don’t need to request payment. They do PayPal transfers twice a week (Tuesdays and Fridays).

Do you need special equipment or software?

You only need a computer and internet connection, but they highly recommend headphones as well. If you are using a Windows-based computer, they would suggest getting a foot pedal. Want to know what is foot pedal looks like? Here is the link to get the foot pedal.

Now Let’s talk about Pros Vs Cons

Pros:

  • It’s a great platform for newbies
